Honestly, at the start of this year- I never thought I would be attempting animation, which has actually been a HUGE learning curve for me. because until now I never understood the point of it and never thought id need to learn. but I’m really glad I did.
a pro of working in animation of this brief- is the teamwork that went on, between me and Lauren Chapman, we made some really nice animations- even if they were only rough. and that’s due to the fact we work well together, we aren’t afraid to say how we feel and we communicate REALLY well, and I really enjoyed working with her.
a con was after effects- I hated it then, and I still hate it! but… I CAN WORK IT! (which is a plus) which is a bonus because if I want to make something move digitally, I can manipulate it using this software. even if, I don’t like the software.
finally, a massive pro was being able to make our animation with handmade products, which is how me and Lauren work best- we can get a better grasp of how we want things to look because we’ve worked with the handmade products we used in our animation before- in short, our animation is a stop motion creation using Crocheted ball characters of different colours and using play dough to animate the eyes and appendages. with was A LOT more work then we thought, but entertaining and worth the effort!
