some of our entries.

we used the idea of children’s imagination to start to generate ideas for our collaboration project, we made a children’s colouring competition and i used where i work (a family pub) to get children to produce monsters based on words we had put on the bottom of the sheets- these words were taken from what it feels like to have anxiety and depression.

we felt like the children would be able to come up with simple and effective monster concepts that we could get inspiration from to form more intricate monsters we used 4 coloured crayons so that the monsters would have a limited colour palate i feel using the children’s imagination as inspiration also helped me see the mental health issues we have been using in this project in a more manageable light because they have personified a complicated illness into a simple creature, it feels manageable and controllable as an issue, this is what we hope to show to others in out project, this is our aim.
